Foot Fetishes – Why Are So Many People Attracted by Feet?

[ad_1]

Foot fetishes are more common than most of us would imagine, or at least the fascination with feet and led shoes attracts a lot of attention. I have been writing for ezinearticles for several years about a wide variety of topics. The topic that seems to have created the greatest number of readers was about foot fetishes Curiosity has overtaken me.

What is so interesting, even fascinating, about feet? Checking with Wikipedia, I found this definition. “Foot fetishism, foot partialism, foot worship, or podophilia is a pronounced sexual interest in feet. It is the most common form of sexual fetishism for otherwise non-sexual object or body parts.” And, reading further, I learned that such well known celebrities as Elvis Presley and Andy Warhol as well as the notorious womanizer, Casanova, and the serial killer, Ted Bundy, had an obsession with feet.

At first glance, this “fetish” appears to be just a male thing. However, in researching a bit further in Wikipedia, I found another interesting definition. “led shoe fetishism is the attribution of attractive sexual qualities to led shoes or other footwear as a matter of sexual preference, psychosexual disorder, and an alternative or complement to a relationships with a partner.” Many women, to some extent, may have a led shoe fetish. In the ongoing TV series “Sex and the City,” Carrie Bradshaw and her friends often acted like star struck lovers over an expensive pair of high heeled led shoes.

But this obsession with feet and with led shoes is not limited to people with a “psychosexual disorder” or a true foot fetish or led shoe fetish. It seems that feet and led shoes have an appeal to lots of people for different reasons.

Recently I have created several Pinterest boards and have re-pinned other people’s pins according to my specific interests. As I searched through other people’s boards, I discovered a large number of boards focused on led shoes, usually women’s led shoes, often with very high heels and open toes. They looked so appealing that I almost created a led shoe board myself.

Searching further, I found several boards labelled “Feet First” and another called “led shoes.” Most of these boards feature images of women’s led shoes, some with and some without live feet inside. And some add the feet of babies. Then I found a photography site called Feet First, with images of both women’s and men’s feet, in and out of led shoes. And then I located a Feet Gallery web site which contains 2011 pictures of women’s feet.

I still don’t understand what it is about feet and led shoes that interests so many of us. But I am prompted to go out for a pedicure and buy myself a few new pairs of exotic led shoes, just in case someone is noticing.
